Responsibilities
Work with geologists, geophysicists, petrophysicists, and engineers to prepare maps, cross-sections, spreadsheets, powerpoints and other presentation materials for oil & gas prospects
Update project daily for drilling wells daily
Organize log and core data
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience as a geological technician
High school diploma or GED required
Must have a technical background with strong math and computer skills
Must be familiar with Drilling, Wireline log data and core data
Candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work individually and collaboratively in a team environment
Must be able to set priorities and meet deadlines
Must be able to handle large volumes of data
Must be able to multi-task
Preferred
Experience using Petra preferred
Bachelor's degree a plus, preferably in math, geology, or computer science
Proficiency in applications such as Kingdom, Petrel, Powerlog, Excel, Powerpoint and Microsoft access is preferred, but training available
Previous experience working with geologists, petrophysicists and/or geophysicists is desirable
