Responsibilities
Responsible for collaborating with the team to understand and propose solutions to configure package software or custom software development
Provides highly specialized technical skills to according to the specific needs of stories during each iteration
Ensures design and development standards are being followed to minimize rework; promotes only quality-tested code and does it on a frequent basis
Acts as a key stakeholder or backup for Product Owner in the daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives to update progress, highlight and resolve impediments
Reviews required documentation to communicate information to deployment, maintenance, service and business teams
Actively suggests solutions to drive down technical debt
Provides mentorship to junior FAs and BAs through Community of Practice and other informal forums and may supervise FAs in a team that does not have senior developers or a tech lead
Lead functional analysis for the domain/software related to Mergers & Acquisitions & Foldouts
Lead functional analysis for domain/software RFP process
Lead SME around product(s) function and works with Product Owner and Business Partners to refine requirements/functionality
Lead training of software package to key stakeholders as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent for the specific roles responsibilities
5-8 years of experience in configuration of software packages or and application development is a nice to have, not required for a Sr Functional Analyst
Strong understanding of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban & other agile frameworks
Strong knowledge of continuous integration / continuous delivery practices
Demonstrated “agile-development” mindset with strong customer-focus & results-orientation
Ability to excel in a fast paced agile environment, adapt to shifting urgencies, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills to effectively manage key business stakeholder relationships, and where required – customer and supplier partnerships/relationships
Highly proficient in teamwork and collaboration skills
Preferred
Strong technical knowledge in APIs or system integrations. Kafka is a plus
Skilled in translating business needs into technical requirements
Exceptional documentation skills tailored for engineering audiences
Ability to clearly articulate requirements and solutions to technical teams
Excellent communication skills to manage stakeholder relationships and external partnerships
Proven ability to work collaboratively in team environments
Highly organized and proactive in managing tasks and priorities
