Data Analytics Intern
Parallax Advanced Research is dedicated to delivering innovative research and technology solutions. The Data Analytics Intern will support data collection, analysis, and visualization to enhance program operations and stakeholder engagement for the Defense Innovation Unit and other partners.

Responsibilities
Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from a variety of sources related to OnRamp Hub programming, outreach, and stakeholder engagement
Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, measure performance, and generate insights to inform strategic decisions
Support the development of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate key findings to internal and external stakeholders
Support the tracking and evaluation of key performance indicators (KPIs) for events, programs, and partnerships
Analyze survey responses and qualitative feedback to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
Assist in preparing data-driven reports and presentations that summarize program impact and outcomes
Collaborate with team members on maintaining accurate and up-to-date data in internal systems and spreadsheets
Help streamline data workflows and documentation practices to improve team efficiency and data integrity
Provide general support for project coordination, scheduling, and administrative tasks related to analytics and program operations
Support other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a degree program in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in turning data into actionable insights
Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, or data visualization platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage and interpret quantitative and qualitative data accurately
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Availability to work a minimum of 10 hours and up to 20 hours per week on site
Must be a US citizen with no need for sponsorship
Preferred
Interest or experience in program evaluation, reporting, or research in innovation, national security, or technology ecosystems is a plus
