Responsibilities

Support the Facility Manager in all areas of the Pattern operating site. Ensure a positive working environment by maintaining discipline, morale, and employee relations
Balance of Plant - operate and maintain associated plant equipment, including substations, transmission lines, electric motor(s) controls, low and medium voltage load centers, switchgear, and other site activities
Lead the use of maintenance documentation, reporting tools and performance systems necessary for reporting and performance improvement
Provide hands-on technical support and supervision for plant equipment and power delivery systems, as well as with other facility civil work, building maintenance and upkeep
Enable teammates’ ability and awareness to work safely and stop work as required. Support driving the injury-free workplace culture by facilitating safe work habits, hazard recognition, risk assessment, peer to peer feedback, and proper use of human performance tools
Manage site specific and corporate procedures, policies, training programs, safety programs and work practices and related updates as required
Balance and support facility public relations and community interactions
Maintain regulatory compliance with all Federal, state and local regulations and associated permits. Ensure obligations are met using the CMMS

Required

Electrical and Mechanical trouble shooting experience
Proficient with computers and Microsoft applications
Basic understanding of one-line diagrams and schematics
Ability to read, write and understand Switching Orders
Perform Hot-Cold-Hot voltage checks, visual opens, grounds and follow LOTO procedures
Experience racking-out low and medium voltage circuit breakers
Diploma degree or technical school certificate; or 3 years of related experience in BOP; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Candidates must be willing and able to work with high workloads in stressful conditions and in physically demanding settings while maintaining professional, non-confrontational behavior and demonstrating the utmost ethical values
Must have general understanding of NERC and CIP compliance
The ability to train others as needed and maintain any training needs
Must have and maintain a good driving record

Preferred

Experience in Substation switching and maintenance operations (In-house training, or schooling certifications)
Overall BOP experience (PMT switching/inspections, switchgear switching, transmission line inspections)
