Responsibilities

Responsible for all stages of the business intelligence development lifecycle: understanding the business objective; collecting business requirements and translating them into data requirements; designing and developing data extracts, reports or dashboards; scheduling and deployment of business intelligence components in accordance with best practices; and completing accurate and timely documentation
Collaborates with business and technology departments to understand system data and its use, data analysis and validation, and provides support around the data and how it is integrated

Required

Strong SQL development skills, including creation and alteration of Stored Procedures
Ability to write efficient SQL queries and identify opportunities to optimize SQL code
Proficiency in using Epic's Cogito platform and tools
Clarity Data Model certification or accreditation
Deep understanding of clinical and operational data, healthcare workflows, and how data supports decision-making
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex data challenges
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Expert interpersonal skills to interact positively and productively with teams across organizational lines
Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in computer science, Information Technology, engineering, or equivalent related experience
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in application systems/administration OR 7 years of experience without a degree
Must be able to lead, engage and mentor others to achieve a very high level of application systems availability and integration
Must have good business skills
Must be able to lead problem solving efforts when mission critical systems are interrupted

Preferred

Experience with SSIS and SQL Server Agent
Additional certifications/accreditations in Cogito Tools Administration or Caboodle Development
Epic Security cert
Experience with Slicer Dicer, Cogito SQL, Security, Nova Notes, Orion and Sherlock
Prefer proficiency in at least two scripting languages used currently in production
