Responsibilities
Test various raw-side ingredients, in-process samples and finished products for quality and standardization purposes
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation of laboratory and all its equipment
Communicate any and all quality related issues with appropriate management personnel
Complete, accurate, organized, test data for easy access and investigation
Provide backup vacation relief including weekends and holidays
Work as a team player, including other department personnel
Qualification
Required
An associate degree is required (food/science based is preferred), or the equivalent of a laboratory certification program or 2 years of dairy laboratory experience required
Ability or aptitude to learn, to operate various pieces of lab equipment which includes: C.E.M. unit, Milligram Scales, Microscope, Centrifuges, pH Meter, Titration Equipment, etc
Ability to operate computer programs (to include Microsoft Office and Schreiber specific systems.)
Satisfactory attendance record and required to be on-time to work. Must be willing to work weekends, off-shifts, overtime as needed
