Systems Engineer II (LabVIEW)
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs. They are seeking a Systems Engineer II to develop software in LabVIEW for sensor acquisition and actuator control systems, collaborating with hardware engineers and conducting testing and validation of software systems.

Responsibilities
Develop software in LabVIEW programming environment for sensor acquisition and actuator control systems
Design, develop, document, test and debug application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions for onboard ship and submarine research
Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of National Instruments data acquisition modules and LabVIEW software
Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
Conduct Independent Verification and Validation of existing LabVIEW software at customer site in West Bethesda, MD
Conduct testing with actual system hardware and document test results
Some travel (< 5%) required to customer test sites for software system installation, checkout, operation, and troubleshooting
Qualification
Required
Active Secret clearance desired or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
B.S. degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Applied Math, or closely related field
Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience developing LabVIEW software
