Responsibilities

The Calibration Technicians are responsible for the calibrating and troubleshooting of any form of plant instrumentation or electronic equipment
The ideal candidate will continually evaluate machine operations to identify and implement process improvements to various Plant Process Control systems and equipment including:
• Temperature: Thermocouple RTD, Thermistor, and Infrared
• Pressure: I/P (V/P) transducers, P/I (P/V) transducers, switches
• Weight Control Systems: Load cells
• Chart Recorder Displays: Interface units, computer-controlled calibration devices
The position would require communication of work activity and status on a regular basis with the Electrical Engineer including establishing a systematic calibration schedule for all plant instruments
The Calibration Technician role provides a career path to an Electronics Technician role through designated training, testing, and acquired experience
Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team atmosphere
Dependable job attendance is expected
Basic Computer skills preferred

Qualification

Calibration of instrumentsTroubleshooting electronic equipmentIndustrial technical experienceAptitude test completionBasic computer skills

Required

High school diploma, GED or the Workforce Center's Career Readiness Certification (CRC) with a minimum of Silver Certificate level
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
Required to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations
2 years of industrial technical experience or successful completion of an accredited apprenticeship program in this specific craft
Must complete aptitude test and hands-on assessment administered by an outside party
