Responsibilities
Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretation
Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
Current ARRT (R) and ARRT (M)
Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammography
Minimum of 1-2 years of current/recent diagnostic imaging experience (hospital or outpatient setting)
Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs
