ABA TECHNICIAN

The ABA Technician is responsible for providing direct one-on-one behavioral intervention to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing problematic behaviors in various settings.

Responsibilities
Provides direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training
Follows the behavioral plan developed by BCBA supervisor
Collects, records, and summarizes data on observable client behavior
Utilizes safe & appropriate handing procedures when working with clients
Maintains client confidentiality
Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment
Collaborates with treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, outside professionals, and co-workers
Maintains and acquires technical knowledge by attending required trainings
Collects data on all programming and writes progress notes
Adheres to Agency standards and consistently interprets and accurately performs all assigned responsibilities
Maintains acceptable attendance status, per Agency policy
Attends all staff meetings and patient care conferences as scheduled
Responsible for timely travel to homes and or throughout community, as needed
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent, if RBT certified; BA preferred
1 – 2 years experience working with special needs children in various settings
Must be willing to train and become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within 6 months of hire
