Responsibilities

Fills patient's new and current medications including unit dose, IV admixtures, chemotherapy, bulk and compound
All duties are under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
Fills and maintains medication inventory (including controlled substances) on all automated dispensing units, OR trays, Crash Carts, ALS/EMS boxes, and the medical center Night Cart
Prepares pre-outpatient surgery orders

Qualification

Pharmacy Technician CertificationActive State Pharmacy LicenseMathematical proficiencyData entry experiencePrevious computer experienceAutomated dispensing unit experienceHospital pharmacy experienceAssociate’s Degree

Required

Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
High school diploma or equivalent
Mathematical proficiency
Data entry experience
Active State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician License

Preferred

Previous computer experience
Previous automated dispensing unit experience
Previous experience in hospital pharmacy
Associate's Degree
