Responsibilities
Perform routine and emergency maintenance on analog, digital, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic instrumentation and control systems
Conduct inspections, testing, calibration, and servicing of process instrumentation
Troubleshoot and repair motor control circuits, power and lighting systems (120V, 277V, 480V), and medium voltage (12.47kV) systems
Maintain and repair test instruments for electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Use and interpret diagrams, schematics, and drawings for installation and troubleshooting
Provide on-call coverage and overtime support as needed to meet plant operational requirements
Operate and maintain substation equipment, voltage detection tools, and other electrical systems
Accurately document work in SAP and other computer systems (Word, Excel, etc.)
Participate in training, safety programs, and meetings as required
Ensure all work is performed safely, in compliance with site procedures and life-saving rules
Maintain equipment and tools in proper working order
Wear a full-face respirator or SCBA as required for specific maintenance tasks
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years as an Instrument/Electrical Technician in a chemical plant or similar industrial environment
Strong foundation in electrical and electronic theory
Skilled in analog and digital system fault diagnostics
Understanding of scientific instrument construction and operation
Experience with confined space, line break, hot work, and working at heights
Familiarity with safety programs, permit-to-work systems, and LOTOTO procedures
Ability to operate personal computers for work order management, part requisitions, and reporting
Demonstrated commitment to HSES (Health, Safety, Environment, and Security) standards
Must be able to wear protective equipment and work in varying conditions
Preferred
Completion of an accredited trade school program or apprenticeship in a related field is preferred
