Hayward Holdings Inc. is the largest manufacturer of residential swimming pool equipment in the world, and they are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician 1. This entry-level position involves on-the-job training in the maintenance of blow molding/injection molding machines and general building maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Understands and fully complies with all safety policies and procedures

Safely uses all power tools and other hand tools in support of troubleshooting and repair functions

Demonstrates ability to safely operate forklift, scissor lift, and articulating lift

Works cross-functionally with other maintenance personnel and departments to support production needs

Executes basic preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems

Performs general maintenance (e.g. change light bulbs, maintain exterior property, plumbing, roofing, office furniture install/removal, etc.) and manual repairs as needed

Completes facility inspections, prepare and submit reports of conditions in the building, and recommend actions to be taken

Solves practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Moderately effective in reading/interpreting blueprints, schematics, P&ID’s, mechanical drawings, along with other equipment documentation

Supports any after-hours building needs and activities along with any other duties as required

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization and write routine reports and correspondence

Ability to perform basic building maintenance such as electrical, plumbing, dry wall, mechanical, etc. repairs

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, bills of materials, and other equipment related documentation

Ability to clearly communicate, both written and verbally, details of a technical nature related to equipment issues and repair needs

Proficient in MSOffice – Primarily Excel, Word, OneDrive

Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
