Gateway Production Technician (Starlink)
SpaceX is actively developing technologies to enable human life on Mars and is seeking a Gateway Production Technician for its Starlink project. The role involves building and assembling components for the Starlink Gateways, ensuring quality and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Build small electrical sub-assemblies
Assemble mechanical and electrical components of gateways, subassemblies, and final vehicle integrations
Integrate PCB assemblies into product chassis
Wire harnesses
Support conformal coating, masking, epoxy application, and coating processes
Operate complex automated equipment, troubleshooting and maintaining as needed
Maintain lab equipment, ensuring calibration and tracking schedules
Conduct functional testing of hardware, including setup, instrumentation, test execution, and teardown
Set up tests to support thermal, shock, thermal vacuum, and vibration regimes
Prioritize schedules and work independently to meet company deliverables
Qualification
Required
High school degree or equivalency certificate
1+ years of hands-on work experience
Willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
Standing for long periods, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
Able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted
Preferred
2+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, integration, or mechanical assembly
Proficient in using a PC, Microsoft Windows, and the Microsoft Office suite
Associate degree
Ability to read, interpret, and work from layout drawings, mechanical drawings, assembly procedures, schematics, engineering drawings, and parts lists
Experience working in an electro-mechanical manufacturing, precision manufacturing, or high-volume manufacturing company
Electro-mechanical assembly and prototype development experience
Experience setting up and conducting tests and experiments
IPC and/or J-STD certification
Soldering experience
