3+ years expMcKim & Creed is a leading top 150 ENR-ranked firm, and they are seeking an enthusiastic Sewer System Evaluation Survey (SSES) CDL Field Technician for their Wet Weather Program in support of Civil Engineering design projects. The role involves field data collection activities associated with Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Surveys, including various testing and inspections to meet client needs.
Consulting
Responsibilities
Performing field investigations by collecting high quality and accurate data
Operate sewer cleaning and vacuum truck to clean and remove debris from sanitary and storm sewer lines, utility holes, and lift stations
CCTV Inspections - conduct robotic video inspections of wastewater sewer pipelines in accordance with NASSCO PACP, MACP, and LACP standards
Maintenance Hole Inspections - record various structure attributes and identify defects
Smoke Testing - conduct smoke tests and record defects encountered
Night Flow Isolations - measure wastewater flows during non-peak usage
Dye Testing - conduct dye water tracing and dye water flooding
Flow Monitoring - install & maintain open channel flow metering equipment
Ability to work in Confined Spaces, including sanitary sewer holes
Review data collected in field to ensure quality and accuracy of information
Project planning to meet client requirements
Hardware and Software troubleshooting, support, repair, and testing
Frequent overnight travel is required
This position requires a lot of walking outside and climbing ladders year-round through various terrain and in extreme heat, cold, and immaculate weather
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED is required
CDL License Required
Must be able to travel
Willing to work in and around open sanitary sewer lines
Can obtain and maintain a Confined Space Entry certification
Should possess basic computer skills
Good technical skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a Confined Space Entry certification is required
Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record, drug test, and criminal record
Prolonged periods working in outdoor conditions in varying terrain types
Prolonged periods working in outdoor conditions in varying climates
Must be able to lift equipment up to 45 pounds at times
Preferred
At least three years of SSES experience preferred
Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and/or Trimble Products is preferred
