Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians in exams, surgeries, and procedures
Perform laboratory diagnostics such as blood draws, urinalysis
Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during procedures
Assist in patient recovery and provide appropriate post-operative care
Perform radiographs (X-rays) and other diagnostic imaging
Educate pet owners on care instructions, medication administration, and preventive health practices
Maintain accurate patient records in our practice management system
Provide compassionate and thorough care to pets and their owners
Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide exceptional service
Qualification
Required
Current license as a Veterinary Technician in New York State
Strong knowledge of veterinary procedures and protocols
Ability to perform clinical skills such as venipuncture, catheter placement, radiography, and anesthesia monitoring
Excellent communication skills and the ability to educate pet owners
Compassionate, team-oriented, and dedicated to animal care
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Previous experience in a veterinary setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome
Familiarity with veterinary practice management software is a plus
