The role involves ensuring safety during installations, maintaining tools and materials, and supporting the foreman while learning the trade.

Responsibilities

Helping to keep truck clean and cabinets organized

Writing up repair work orders and assisting foreman with getting signatures from customer

Working safely by coning off work areas, and inspecting ladders before use

Assist foreman with installations and repairs; while learning and training to run your own truck

Leaving work area swept, and cleaner than you found it

Look for other potential work by scoping other doors on time and material jobs

Follow safety policies including lockout/tagout and proper material handling

Maintain a clean and organized shop

Reporting any possible repairs to power tools and service truck in a timely manner

Must be dependable

Mechanical skills

Able to read dimensions and use a tape measure

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Stick Welding skills a must

1–2 years of experience in using hand and power tools

Experience using hoists or cranes to handle steel coils (training/certification a plus)

Knowledge of 18-to-24-gauge sheet metal properties and safe handling practices

Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety, and documentation

Good communication and teamwork skills

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods
