Responsibilities
Maximize equipment reliability to avoid unscheduled shutdowns resulting in interruption of supply to customers
Use a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical equipment and systems
Follow SMP/SOPs within an ISO/QA/PSM/RMP site
Disassemble/assemble rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, etc. to repair/replace bearings, gears, seals, structural components, and the like
Read and understand blueprints
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems
Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, boiler systems, valves, and ability to perform equipment alignments
Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), plan and execute maintenance activities including procurement of parts, supervision of maintenance tasks, and completion of all follow-ups required documentation
Repairs of mechanical piping systems including threaded and welded pipe systems
Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities
Operate forklifts and man-lifts
Drive improvements in productive and cost savings
Effectively communicating with technicians, plant manager, plant engineers, and other support groups
Working extended hours and/or weekends/holidays may be required
On call availability. Must carry cell company cell phone for immediate availability/questions
Qualification
Required
You possess a High School education, associate degree a plus
You have 5+ years' experience in an industrial production environment
You have Excellent computer skills required
On-Call ability required within 24/7 operation environment
Preferred
Journeyman millwright/machinist experience preferred
Welding and HVAC experience a plus
