Responsibilities

Rooming patients
Assisting in surgery
Placing IV catheters
Drawing blood
Running bloodwork
Knowledge of X-rays and dental X-rays
Proper positioning
Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
Understanding the importance of client education
Being a positive and supportive team member
Strong anesthesia monitoring experience
Teaching, training, and mentoring vet tech knowledge and skills with staff
Managing inventory for surgeries and back-of-the-house medications and supplies
Understanding surgery scheduling and helping to control each surgery's flow

Required

Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVT licence must be current)
3+ years of clinical veterinary experience (required)
Strong anesthesia monitoring experience
Experience with dental X-rays
Highly skilled at teaching, training, and mentoring vet tech knowledge and skills with staff
Experience with inventory for surgeries and back-of-the-house medications, and supplies
Understands surgery scheduling and helps to control each surgery's flow to stay on track
Full-time hours (required)
Saturday & Sunday shifts (required)
