They are seeking a Hydraulic Component Shop Technician who will specialize in hydraulic systems, performing precision work on pumps, motors, and control valves to ensure Caterpillar equipment operates at its best.

Responsibilities

Disassemble, inspect, reassemble, and test hydraulic pumps and motors, including fixed/variable displacement, gear, and piston types

Service hydraulic control valves, including electrical components

Conduct failure analysis and prepare detailed reports

Read, interpret, and apply Caterpillar hydraulic schematics

Connect, disconnect, and interpret pressure gauges for diagnostic accuracy

Work with open- and closed-loop hydrostatic systems

Use forklifts and overhead cranes to safely handle components

Maintain accurate records in Caterpillar software systems (SIS 2.0, Salesforce, PowerTest)

Ensure all repairs meet Caterpillar standards for safety and performance
