Electrical Technician Maintenance II (30th ABCT)

Responsibilities

Perform services and inspections as required by the technical manual for that equipment
Inspect equipment for faults, and completeness
Test equipment to determine operational condition
Troubleshoot to determine location, and extent of equipment faults
Repair equipment by adjusting, aligning, repairing, or replacing defective components
Tests repaired equipment to ensure compliance with technical specifications
Evacuates equipment and components to higher level repair activities based on the Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC). Prepares appropriate maintenance forms and records
Logs maintenance in accordance with The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS)
Use Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), Test Program Sets (TPS), and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) to determine the cause and location of malfunctions, extent of faults, and category of maintenance required
Safely uses common hand-tools and shop equipment effectively without assistance
Use facilities management software
Comply with calibration and shop safety programs
Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives
Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
At least three (3) to six (6) years of experience in night vision devices/equipment (NVD), military communication equipment and fiber optic systems or an equivalent
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
Must have a valid REAL ID State Driver's License with no restrictions
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport
Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Bragg Installation
Must be proficient in servicing, troubleshooting and repairing of night vision devices/equipment (NVD), laser and fiber optic systems
Must be proficient in servicing, troubleshooting and repairing of military communication equipment
Must be familiar with the use of electronic technical manuals

Preferred

Working knowledge of GCSS-Army preferred
