Gowan Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair plant equipment at their Blytheville facility. The role involves troubleshooting, disassembly, and precision repairs of machinery, ensuring smooth plant operations under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair functions on plant equipment

Disassemble, clean, troubleshoot, and repair equipment

Execute precision repairs and modifications to machinery or systems

Operate and maintain industrial-grade equipment

Follow all company safety policies while performing duties

Utilize MIG, TIG, and Arc welding units, plasma cutter, oxy-acetylene cutting, welding, and brazing equipment

Use precision measuring tools and instruments for repairs

Read and interpret electrical blueprints and plans to ensure accurate repair and maintenance

Safely operate forklifts, power tools, and other necessary equipment

Supply and use personal hand tools for repairs and maintenance

Perform any other maintenance tasks as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or GED required

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Experience working with industrial-grade equipment, including the ability to maintain and repair such equipment

Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques, along with other related welding equipment

Knowledge of safety protocols in an industrial environment

Capable of following detailed written and verbal instructions in English

Ability to read and follow electrical blueprints and plans

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Capable of working in confined spaces and operating power tools safely

Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs, with occasional heavy lifting over 50 lbs

Must be comfortable working at heights and in varying conditions

Ability to move throughout the plant site and production buildings

Regularly required to descend/ascend stairs

Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and crawl

Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

Must adhere to safety protocols and use protective equipment as necessary

Preferred

Technical training or certification in maintenance or related field preferred

Forklift operation experience preferred
