Licensed Veterinary Technician
AmeriVet Veterinary Partners is looking for experienced Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join their growing team at the Animal Care Center of Pahrump. The role involves providing high-quality medical care and support for animals, utilizing the technician's training and license in a friendly and professional environment.

Responsibilities
Work at the highest level of training and license as a Licensed Veterinary Technician
Obtain accurate histories, obtain vitals, conduct brief exams, and provide client education and financial conversations
Perform dental procedures including charting, scaling, polishing, and dental radiology
Skilled in IV Catheter placement, venipuncture, urinary catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical procedures including intubation, monitoring, and pre-operative and post-operative care
Utilize laboratory skills including in-house lab equipment and interpretation of ear and skin cytology
Conduct diagnostic procedures including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
Qualification
Required
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Nevada, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire
2+ years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
Passion for working with animals and their owners
Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
Exam room skills include obtaining accurate histories, obtaining vitals, brief exams, client education and financial conversations
Dental Experience, including charting, scaling, polishing, dental radiology
Skilled in IV Catheter placement, venipuncture, urinary catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique, pre-operative and post-operative care
Laboratory skills including in-house lab equipment, ear and skin cytology set-up and interpretation
Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
And all other duties of a Licensed Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
Preferred
Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program
