Factory Commissioning Test Technician - Rolling Stock
Siemens is a leading provider of infrastructure and transportation solutions in the United States, and they are looking for an entry-level Factory Commissioning Test Technician to join their team. The role involves commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing next-generation light rail, locomotives, and coaches, requiring familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical and mechanical commissioning on locomotive and coach cars
Troubleshoot, document and repair electrical and mechanical failures
Work with state-of-the-art diagnostic test equipment
Understand and comply with company and industry safety standards
Communicate with others, verbally and in writing, technical information, job procedure recommendations, and other work-related information
Have ability to work independently and among a team with multi-disciplinary backgrounds
Read, interpret and understand written or electronic schematics
Use PTU’s to troubleshoot various systems onboard light rail, locomotive and coach vehicles
Qualification
Required
High school diploma (or GED)
1+ years experience in electrical testing
Must be proficient in electrical, pneumatic, mechanical troubleshooting
Preferred
Associate's degree in engineering or similar
