Responsibilities
Travel to customer sites 85-90% of the time, managing your own travel arrangements, site coordination, and reporting
Program, configure, and test fire alarm panels, including XLS-3000 and ZLS-140 systems
Perform troubleshooting and repairs on a wide range of fire alarm and life safety systems
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure code compliance and operational readiness
Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and fire codes to support system design and integration
Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and successful project execution
Mentor junior technicians and support continuous improvement across the team
Maintain accurate documentation and service records for compliance and reporting
Other duties as assigned per business needs
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in fire protection or a closely related field
Hands-on experience with fire alarm panel programming, including new construction and retrofit projects
NICET Level II or higher certification in Fire Alarm Systems
Strong understanding of NFPA codes, local fire regulations, and industry standards
Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 90%
Ability to pass an FAA background check
Preferred
Associate's degree in Fire Protection Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Notifier manufacturer certification
Proven ability to troubleshoot independently and provide mentorship to junior technicians
Familiarity with Honeywell XLS-3000 and ZLS-140 systems a strong plus
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
