The role involves the repair, maintenance, and inspection of trailers and containers, including performing diagnostic and service tasks on various systems while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities
Conducts basic to moderately complex diagnostic, troubleshooting, and service and repair tasks for brake, suspension, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Assist with routine PM services (fluid changes, lubrication, tire, etc.) on tractors per the manufacturer and SA Recycling recommendations
Preforms structural repairs on trailer chassis, sub-frames, and containers
Patches holes in trailers and/or containers side panels, floors, or roofs as needed
Maintains accurate records of all work performed
Performs annual DOT inspections and sign-offs
Communicates and works well with others in a safe and professional manner
Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly working area
Performs all tasks fully within SA Recycling’s Safety and Environmental practices and procedures
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED
Must be willing to complete, and successfully pass a drug screen, physical and background check
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and welding skills (stick and MIG)
All US applicants must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred
Certificate from a diesel tech training school or 1 year trailer service experience in a shop setting or military installation preferred
Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus
