Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment through proper aseptic technique
Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, while maintaining accurate records of results
Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
Monitor animal patients during recovery from anesthesia or medical procedures, providing critical care when necessary
Maintain dental terminology knowledge to assist in dental cleanings and procedures for various animal species
Conduct X-Ray imaging as required for diagnostic purposes while adhering to safety protocols
Provide education to pet owners regarding animal health, nutrition, and preventive care
Qualification
Required
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Strong passion for animal care and welfare
Proficiency in both clinical and laboratory procedures
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role
Strong skills in dog handling and general animal handling techniques
Experience with animal catheterization procedures
Veterinary experience: 5 years
Preferred
Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices
