Industrial Maintenance Technician

Fluid Power Support is a state-of-the-art metal fabrication facility specializing in CNC, robotic welding, and other technologies. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will provide electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic repair and maintenance support to meet the production needs of the company.

Responsibilities

Completing preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility
Troubleshoot minor electrical issues and mechanical breakdowns
Utilize and work with maintenance trades and components such as electrical, welding, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, mechanical maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Modify or build equipment by reading and comprehending electrical/mechanical schematics, blueprints and/or operation manuals
Operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools, precision maintenance tools, preventative maintenance technology tools, etc
Determine and recommend when contractors are necessary
Responsible for ordering and receiving parts
Documenting completed work and the condition found, utilizing job shop program as necessary
Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and overhead cranes
Performs all functions in accordance with company safety procedures and with OSHA requirements
Assist with maintenance of other facilities as needed
Other duties as assigned

Required

Ability to quickly comprehend the functions of the machines used in fabrication and machining processes
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
Effectively read a tape measure with accuracy
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to communicate in English (verbal/written) with co-workers and management
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate
2-4 years' experience in industrial maintenance
Regular and predictable attendance is required
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs. and larger amounts with assistance, kneeling, climbing crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time

Preferred

Manufacturing industry experience preferred
