Aircraft Composite Technician

As an Aircraft Composite Technician, you will be responsible for repairing parts and components using various composite bonding methods and ensuring safety and quality in the repair processes.

Responsibilities

Capable to use close tolerance measuring tools (i.e., scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gages, etc.)
Capable to use hand tools (i.e., drill motors, die grinders, rivet guns, fastener installation tools, etc.)
Ability to perform alignment/assembly using jig, templates and fixtures
PPE must be used when cutting, grinding, blending, and sanding
Extensive use of bagging materials
Able to properly bag for a wide range of component shapes and styles
Capable of using a "Hot-Bonder" type machine cure procedure
Maintenance, cleaning and repair of shop facilities, equipment and tooling when required
Safely operate shop equipment such as: curing oven, autoclave, vacuum
Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases
Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

A High school diploma or equivalent
Journeyman: 0-5 years of experience as composite technician
Master: 5+ years' experience as a composite technician
We're looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common

Preferred

Airframe and Powerplant License is not required, but welcome
A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory
