Responsibilities

Operate heavy machinery (Backhoe, Mowers, Snow blowers, Hydro Clean Machine, Tractors, Manure Tanks, Trucks and Trailers)

Routine operation and maintenance of shop equipment

Install and/or replace gate valves

Repair water lines, well water pumps, water meters, regulators, sewer lines and machinery etc

Assist in seasonal snow removal, mowing, weed spraying and site appearance

General maintenance as needed

Provide feedback to management where needed

Work autonomously and able to prioritize daily schedule base on work tickets

Demonstrate good listening skills and communication skills while working through support requests from production and other teams

Daily focus should be on welfare of animals, not personal issues

Demeanor should always be positive and professional

Attendance is critical in this position – be at work on your scheduled days and by the time given by your supervisor

Be friendly, positive, helpful, team-oriented, and respectful to co-workers and management teams

Adhere to Iowa Select Farms bio-security policy at all times which includes reporting any violations or concerns to management team

Compliance with Iowa Select Farms safety policies and procedures which includes continuous education to maintain a safe work environment

Follow Iowa Select Farms animal wellbeing policy at all times and partner with the Production Well-being team in a timely manner if an incident occurs

Required

Experience with machinery operations and maintenance associated with the agricultural industry preferred
