Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technician - Sign-on Bonus!

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical systems to ensure smooth operations while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and maintain a wide range of mechanical systems to keep operations running smoothly
Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and equipment calibrations to optimize performance and reliability
Work hands-on with hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and power transmission systems
Safely operate and maintain industrial tools and mobile equipment including cranes and forklifts
Partner with Electrical Maintenance Technicians to tackle cross-functional maintenance tasks
Always prioritize safety by strictly adhering to protocols such as lockout/tagout, fall protection, and confined space entry procedures

Required

High school diploma or GED
3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience
Strong skills in machining and welding
Hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, and plumbing
Power transmission systems, including bearings, gearing, conveyors, fans, shaft alignment, sprockets, and coupling
Experience with overhead crane troubleshooting and repair
Proficient in rigging and lifting procedures
Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
A true team player with strong problem-solving abilities

Preferred

Journeyman Certification or completion of a formal apprenticeship program
Hands-on experience with SMAW, MIG, and/or TIG welding
Previous work experience in the steel or heavy manufacturing industry
Fabrication skills and a basic understanding of electrical systems
Up-to-date safety certifications and a strong awareness of industry-standard safety practices
