Lifepoint Health is a diversified healthcare delivery network with facilities coast to coast. They are seeking a Cardiovascular Technician to perform various cardiovascular procedures and operate specialized equipment in the Cardiac/Vascular Cath Lab.

Responsibilities

Performs various cardiovascular/vascular procedures including monitoring of diagnostic and interventional procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice

Operates specialized equipment for use in diagnostic and vascular test and therapeutic interventions performed in the Cardiac/Vascular Cath Lab

Scrubs at the tableside and monitors patients as assigned

Transports patients

Prepares equipment and supplies

Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters

Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment

Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary

Qualification

Required

Associate's degree in radiologic technology or cardiovascular technology

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Thorough working knowledge of practices and experiences in a Cardiac/Vascular Cath Lab

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) within 90 days of employment

Minimum of one year experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab

Ability to perform all vascular/cardiac procedures involving the operation of imaging equipment including assisting the physician during the actual catheterization procedure

Preferred

Minimum of one year experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab
