Field Service Technician | So. Connecticut/New York

Hamilton Medical was founded in 1983 with a mission to enhance the lives of patients on respirators and support their caregivers. The Field Service Technician will perform repairs and maintenance of Hamilton Medical ventilation products in the Southern Connecticut and New York territory, focusing on customer interaction and technical support.

Responsibilities

New equipment installation
Perform preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot and repair Hamilton equipment
Report problems and perform root cause analysis on instrument failures
Sales are a vital part of this position
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

ElectronicsBiomedical Electronics TechnologyField Service ExperienceVentilation KnowledgeTraining AbilitySafety ConsciousnessCommunication Skills

Required

Associate degree required in Electronics, Biomedical Electronics Technology, or certificate from accredited electronics school or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
Ability to interface and communicate well with customers
Ability to train non-technical personnel on highly technical material
Ability and willingness to work in a safety conscious manner
Position requires exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
Position requires travel
Drug and background screenings required

Preferred

Previous hospital, bio-medical, or field service experience and basic understanding of ventilation
Basic understanding of ventilation is strongly preferred
