New Grad, Entry LevelHavenwyck Hospital, a UHS facility, is a Joint Commission-accredited psychiatric hospital in Auburn Hills, Michigan, dedicated to providing compassionate behavioral health services. The Mental Health Technician will perform routine patient care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting with admissions, monitoring patients, and ensuring a safe therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities
Follows instructions given by all nursing leadership and as outlined in Hospital policies and
Reports patient medical problems to the Registered Nurse
Reports alterations in sensory perceptual images, recognizing the differences between illusions
Provides care to patients in a manner that considers safety, patients’ rights, comfort and a therapeutic environment
Assists with admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients in a timely manner and completes the appropriate documentation
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Employees must be in good standing (employment/corrective action history, evaluation, etc.) to be considered for internal transfers
Preferred
Prefer a minimum of two years of college in areas of psychology, social work, mental health, and other related health fields
Experience in dealing with the emotionally disturbed preferred
