Facilities Technician

Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is seeking a Facilities Technician to assist in the operations, maintenance, and repairs of the University’s buildings and grounds. Responsibilities

Responsible for general maintenance including painting
Participate in rotating on-call coverage
Completes facilities work and room set-ups initiated by faculty, staff, and students
Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains the building systems and facilities as required
Assists with the completion of small-scale carpentry projects
Performs repairs of doors, hardware, and basic locksmith tasks
Completes light electrical repairs to appliances, fixtures and switches
Completes light plumbing repairs to water and sewage systems including replacement of fittings and clearing of stoppages
Parks cars
Repairs and replaces of glass, tile, screens, locks, drapes
Assists in removal of snow and ice as needed
Assists in small office moves
Carries out preventative maintenance tasks as assigned
Participates in the on-call rotation for emergency situations such as inclement weather or mechanical failures
Contributes to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environment
Additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor
