AAA Oregon/Idaho is a not-for-profit organization known for its roadside assistance services. They are seeking a Roadside Service Technician to operate a service truck, responding to assistance requests and providing solutions such as tire changes and minor repairs to keep members 'On the Go'.

Responsibilities

Operating a AAA-owned service truck within the Portland metro area

Responding to roadside assistance requests from AAA members

Providing outstanding service while working with members to safely and quickly find the best solution to their issue

Providing options such as tire changes, fuel delivery and minor mechanical repairs

Qualification

Driving experienceCustomer service experienceAutomotive repair experienceTow experienceBilingual skillsLift 75 poundsProblem solvingSelf-motivated

Required

2+ years of driving experience with excellent driving record required

Valid drivers' license required. Position does not require a CDL

Successful completion of a criminal background screening, DMV background screening, employment verification, and pre-employment drug screen (including cannabis) required

Roadside Battery Technicians must be 18 years or older

2+ years of customer service experience required

Able to balance, bend, kneel, and lift up to 75 pounds

Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and desire to help others

Ability to problem solve and stay positive and calm under pressure

Preferred

Automotive repair or technology experience preferred

Tow experience preferred. Excellent training program provided

English/Spanish bilingual skills a plus but not required (additional pay for bilingual skills)
