Responsibilities
Prepare and process tissue specimens for Mohs surgery, ensuring accurate and timely results
Assist the surgeon during the procedure by providing necessary instruments and maintaining a sterile field
Perform quality control checks on equipment and materials to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Document and maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and specimen handling
Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide information and support throughout the surgical process
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a Mohs technician training program or equivalent experience
Certification in basic life support (BLS)
Preferred
Experience working in a dermatology or surgical setting
Certification as a Mohs technician from a recognized professional organization
Knowledge of histology and pathology
