Network VoIP Technician

Responsibilities

Apply technical standards and security policy, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) or security controls for all VoIP/VoSIP) systems or legacy telephone systems to include identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities
Provide cable infrastructure, premise equipment, telephone service, (except customer required calling features and modernization programs). Includes touch labor support
Provide voice service (analog, digital, IP) on government property to connect to any location worldwide
Operate and maintain VoSIP telephone and Unified Capabilities (UC) service
Configure and maintain digital, VoIP end user telephone device
Provide telephone moves, adds, and changes for MCA/SRM/Projects other than construction
Provide local touch labor (troubleshooting, repairing, changing cable pairs, etc.)
Provide moves, adds, and changes to user accounts for DISA Enterprise Voice over IP (EVolP) customers and Enterprise Classified Voice over IP (ECVolP) customers
Operate, maintain digital, VoSIP telephone and UC service
Resolve Service Requests and User Incidents through remote administration actions (troubleshooting, repairing) that do not require touch labor
Operate and maintain the VoIP Local Session Controller for the installation infrastructure
Configure and install digital, VoSIP telephone and UC service
Provide Central Office (CO) switch features e.g., call forwarding, call transfer (3-way conference), ring again, last number redial, call pickup, speed calling, caller ID, and others if the phone supports
Provide access to service for the transmission of official government business to include on post, local commercial and DSN
Support after duty hour emergency maintenance requirements that include the restoral and/or other actions that cannot wait until normal duty hours
Perform other duties as required

Required

An associate's degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution
Minimum of three years' experience in VoIP/VoSIP telephone and Unified Capabilities (UC) service
Possess an Basic Proficiency level with 70% of the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) associated with the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) workforce role Work Role ID: 011
Network+, Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist
350-801-CLCOR, Cisco Certified Specialist Collaboration Core, 300-815 CLACCM, Cisco Certified Specialist, Collaboration Call Control & Mobility Implementation
Security Clearance: Secret

Preferred

Supported the U.S. Army or other DoD Agency
Has the communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates
