The Mold Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and optimization of molds and related equipment in the injection molding process, ensuring minimal downtime and high product quality.

Responsibilities
Supports continuous improvement activities
Supports implementation of new injection molding tools and its peripherals
Work with vendors to resolve tooling issues
Disassembly and assembly of injection molding tools
Responsible for managing the mold spare parts
Maintain mold readiness according to production schedule
Carry out necessary manual work on the workbench
Check tools and components for wear, replace defective and worn parts, and rework tools and molds if necessary
Test repaired tools and molds as specified
Assist with mold changes and setups, ensuring molds are properly installed and aligned for production runs
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices
Qualification
Required
Self-starter; must be able to work with little direction and with a high level of self-motivation
Quality orientation and high attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must be able to work well with subordinates, peers, and superiors in all departments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, precision measuring instruments, and hand tools related to mold maintenance
Experience working with basic measuring tools, e.g., pie tape, micrometers, calibers, pyrometer
Good verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with mold design, materials, and manufacturing processes
