We’re looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our distinguished pharmacy team and support our mission of delivering the highest level of care to our pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

Compounds medications, labels medications under the supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist

Maintains clean room environment and conducts proper and accurate record keeping activities

Helps with implementation and record keeping to meet Quality Assurance guidelines

Assists in preparing patient orders for shipping by pulling and/or verifying supplies

Assists in coordination of scheduling/compounding of medications for patients receiving on-going therapy

Complies with all State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations relating to Pharmacy Technicians

Maintains registration with the State Board of Pharmacy

Helps with maintaining appropriate inventory and/or ordering medications through wholesaler and direct, I.V. fluids, supplies for use in the pharmacy and use with patients

Reconciles inventory invoices against what is ordered and checks for correct contract pricing when applicable

Required

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credentials required

Current registration with the State Board of Pharmacy

Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred

Previous experience in IV pharmaceutical compounding or home care is preferred

Knowledge of aseptic technique and quality assurance practices in sterile compounding is a plus
