MECHANIC TECHNICIAN
Callahan Construction Managers is seeking a Mechanic Technician to maintain and repair various types of vehicles and equipment. The role involves performing moderately complex maintenance and repair tasks with limited supervision and may include training new technicians.

Responsibilities
This position involves the maintenance and repair of automobiles, trucks, heaters, generators, heavy construction equipment and small tools & equipment
Completing preventative maintenance and repairs on tools & equipment on-site with minimal direction
Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
Applying the use of specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools
Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, work orders, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens
Completing training in line with skill and business requirements
Adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor
Knowledge of small tools, gas and diesel engines
Knowledge and experience with electrical and hydraulics
Knowledge of oil burners/repair
Ability to lift, push or pull 70+ pounds, climb heavy equipment, and bend, kneel and work with arms raised for prolonged periods
Strong communication and listening skills
Safety and compliance knowledge
Ability to use hand tools and trades-type tools which require high mental and visual effort
Ability to weld and fabricate
Must meet all requirements to drive a Company vehicle including a valid driver’s license and insurance
Flexibility to work various hours and days of the week with the ability to be on call and available for emergency needs
Qualification
Required
Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities
High Voltage / Low Voltage experience

High School diploma (or equivalent)
Experience working as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Industry experience or related experience
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
