Responsibilities
Responsible for the service and repair of all fire apparatus equipment
Testing and repairing equipment by traveling to the location of the customer
Provide troubleshooting and performing installation of equipment
Attending to the needs of the customer whenever required
Provide confirmation that equipment is functional
Provide telephone support to the customer in order to perform troubleshooting
Follow through to ensure equipment is in proper working condition after performing troubleshooting
Qualification
Required
Must be willing to travel within an assigned territory
Must be dependable
Excellent customer service skills, both verbal and written
Must assume responsibility for high quality of repair process
Must have the ability to work independently or with less supervision
Should have excellent verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to work under pressure
Ability to manage service calls
High School Diploma or GED
Clean driving record with or able to obtain a Class B non-exempt CDL driver license
Knowledge of repair principles and procedures in all areas of the Heavy Truck Repair Industry
Preferred
EVT (Emergency Vehicle Technician) and ASE Heavy Truck Certifications are a plus
