Responsibilities

Handles general maintenance for all city buildings and sewer plant, including, but not limited to, painting, plumbing, electrical work and general maintenance to the buildings
Works in the construction of new buildings performing general carpentry, plumbing and electrical
Reads and follows blueprints in construction and repair of buildings
Operates backhoe and drives trucks performing construction and maintenance activities

Required

Possess a valid Driver's License
Willing to work overtime and non-standard hours, weekends and holidays as needed
Possess a High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of five (5) years general maintenance

Prefer technical school courses in carpentry, electrical and plumbing
Prefer two years of experience as an electrician in commercial electrical work
