Responsibilities
Respond and react to mechanical issues in the production environment in a timely and efficient manner
Complete maintenance projects - PM tasks and work orders as assigned
Read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams
Write parts requests, complete work orders, and write corrective work orders
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Keep a clean work area
Perform building inspections and routines
Communicate with other team members
Perform Lock-Out-Tag-Out when necessary
Qualification
Required
Minimum 4 years work experience in a maintenance mechanic environment
Must have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Must have a strong understanding of AC/DC motors, motor control circuits, and photoeyes / sensors, etc
Knowledge of conveyance a strong plus
Must be computer literate
Familiarity with CMMS work order systems
Food manufacturing background a plus with an understanding of FDA requirements
Must have good attention to detail. Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
Should be able to understand blueprints and drawings
Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
Must be able to work at heights from ladders or scissor lifts
Must be able to make decisions
Should have a working knowledge of the following: Welding, Machining, Plumbing, Pipefitting, Electricity
Must be able to speak, read, and write English
Preferred
Mechanical experience in a manufacturing setting (does not have to be food related)
Mechanics that have both electrical and mechanical experience
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
Proficiency with Allen Bradley product line
