NETA II / III / IV Commercial Industrial Technician

Asplundh Electrical Testing is seeking experienced and certified NETA II, III, or IV Technicians to join their dynamic team specializing in electrical testing and commissioning for commercial and industrial facilities. The role involves performing testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of electrical power systems, particularly in data center environments, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company protocols.

Responsibilities

Perform acceptance and maintenance testing on electrical power systems including switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, protective relays, and related equipment
Conduct commissioning activities for new and upgraded electrical systems, particularly in mission-critical data center environments
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using advanced testing equipment and methodologies
Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Document test results and prepare detailed reports in compliance with NETA standards
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company protocols
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure successful project execution

Qualification

Required

Active NETA Level II, III, or IV Certification (required)
Minimum 2+ years of experience in electrical testing and commissioning
Strong knowledge of ANSI/NETA standards, NFPA 70E, and OSHA regulations
Proficiency with test equipment such as Doble, Megger, Omicron, and Fluke
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed

Preferred

Experience in data center electrical systems is highly preferred
Familiarity with SCADA, BMS, and other monitoring systems
Experience with high-voltage systems and critical power infrastructure
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous learning
