Responsibilities

Performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures

Receives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patients are comfortable

Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices

Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area

Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth

Registered Cardiac SonographerDiagnostic ultrasonographic proceduresBasic Life Support (BLS)Patient servicesUltrasound equipment operation

Required

Associate's degree in a related field

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire

Registered Cardiac Sonographer from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), RDCS, AE or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
