Responsibilities

Run diagnostic tests and analyze results
Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems
Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions
Determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies
Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems
Develop technical skills through training opportunities
Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required
Ensure the cleanliness of the shop

Required

3–5 years of diesel industry experience & OEM certifications OR 6+ years of experience and OEM certs
Ability to run diagnostic tests and analyze results
Ability to repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems
Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions
Ability to determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies
Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems
Ability to develop technical skills through training opportunities
Ability to test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required
Ability to ensure the cleanliness of the shop
Must have a full complement of tools
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Successful passing of a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
Motor vehicle records check is required for positions with driving responsibilities
