Responsibilities
Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical components to diagnose issues accurately
Conduct routine maintenance work aiming for vehicle functionality and longevity
Perform quality repairs and maintenance on all Heavy Truck and Diesel Engine system components to ensure complete customer satisfaction
Assist Service Advisors in developing estimates of time and materials costs for vehicle repairs
Repair vehicles based on the diagnosed issues and repair estimate using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Assist other technicians in performing technical activities and share knowledge with team members
Capable of maintaining a clean work area and a strong attention to detail
Effectively communicate and keep Service Advisors informed of any changes in service needs or delays in expected completion time
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a technician in the automotive industry
Must hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving record
Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain a customer-focused attitude in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of complex mechanical systems found in automobiles
Proficiency in using all necessary tools and modern machinery for repair and maintenance
Preferred
Having a Certified Automotive Technician Accreditation is a plus
