Responsibilities
Perform tissue trimming, embedding, microtomy, and staining
Conduct in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry
Maintain accurate tissue logs and digital records
Support necropsy operations and BSL-3/4 containment procedures
Train junior technicians and maintain lab instrumentation
Qualification
Required
Strong experience with histological and molecular staining
Familiarity with digital pathology platforms
Ability to follow biosafety and necropsy protocols
Meticulous attention to quality and labeling
Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or histotechnology
Minimum 5+ years in histology or pathology labs
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance eligibility, with no access to classified information, is required
Enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required
Preferred
ACTIVE SECRET is preferred
HT/HTL (ASCP) certification preferred
