Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Repairs, adjusts and assists in routine machine maintenance as necessary using diagnostic equipment
Conducts inspections and tests on equipment and instruments as part of the preventative maintenance program and maintains documentation
Responds to requests for support from the Maintenance Lead and Maintenance Manager and other maintenance staff on repairs and projects
Takes part in staff development and training activities
Installs and tests equipment and machinery
Informs relevant Grass employees on maintenance status
Operates a variety of hand and power tools
Builds, repairs, and modifies hand assembly machines
Performs welding operations as necessary
Completes weekly, monthly and quarterly preventive maintenance tasks and reports
Trouble shooting of PLC’s., Servo Drives, Etc
Attends machine Improvement meetings and be open for changes
Reads and understands complex blueprints, schematics, plans, and service manuals
Accountable for Company Safety Guidelines (such as Lock out / Tag out). Also responsible for PPE (personal protection equipment)
Understands and adheres to company policies and procedures
Performs other related duties and assignments as required

Required

Performs routine repairs and completes preventive maintenance procedure, trouble shoots machines to keep production running
Implement pre-active repairs as found during daily observations
Address safety issues and communicate general improvements to the Team and Manager
Repairs, adjusts and assists in routine machine maintenance as necessary using diagnostic equipment
Conducts inspections and tests on equipment and instruments as part of the preventative maintenance program and maintains documentation
Responds to requests for support from the Maintenance Lead and Maintenance Manager and other maintenance staff on repairs and projects
